Who is Jesus? New Testament / God the Father translates all power and judgment unto God the Son.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:17-20 King James Version (KJV)

21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:21-23 King James Version (KJV)

I underlined “which hath sent him”. Remember that first verse from Isaiah 43:10? Jesus is God himself in the flesh. Even if you believe in God the Father as the Jews do, but reject or deny Jesus (God the Son), you in turn reject God himself. See; Luke 10:16 ,Luke 9:48, John 13:20, Romans 10:1-4

The Spirit of God, The Spirit of Christ are one and the same.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:9 King James Version (KJV)

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

1 Corinthians 12:11 King James Version (KJV)

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:14 King James Version (KJV)

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

2 Corinthians 13:5 King James Version (KJV)

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:13 King James Version (KJV)

The unfortunate error of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and many others is that they reject the Deity of Jesus Christ. Besides being a cult religion that was founded by two masonic false teachers Charles Taze Russell 1879, and So-called judge Rutherford 1895, who made numerous end-of-the-world predictions which all failed. They think themselves to be the true witnesses of God by honoring the Father over the Son who became a god. They do this because of 2 major truth inhibitors. 1) Their corrupt Watchtower publication that comes from Brooklyn, NY. which controls their thoughts and beliefs. 2) They read from a heavily altered Bible the New World Translation (NWT) in which it perverts or omits nearly every verse that clearly shows that Jesus is = with God such as John 1:1. In their counterfeit Bible it reads that “the Word was a god”.(John 1:1 NWT). This makes Jesus inferior to God. This error is in conflict with Isaiah 43:10 where God says there is no other God besides him, ever. Unless of course God changed his mind and contradicted his promise by making Jesus a god? Make no mistake! The New Testament is all about Jesus Christ. It was written by the witnesses of Jesus Christ. 7 out the 12 apostles to be exact; Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter & Jude. Jesus said to them “ye shall be witnesses unto Me”. Yep! That puts the JW’s out of business at the judgment seat of Christ.

In Jesus name.

Little do the JW’s and many other gainsayers know that the hebrew name “JEHOVAH” is a Latin derivative for YHWH means (Lord, The Lord). Names have their meanings you know? For example “John” comes from the hebrew Yohanan, which means (Graced by Yahweh). But today we now him as “John” (Graced by the Lord). Many are even translating “The Lord” back to Jehovah or Yahweh thinking they do right. Learning hebrew or greek is not required for salvation. God will not hear you any better by saying the hebrew “YHWH” instead of “Lord” in English. In fact, according to the Word of God we need to call on the name of “the Son of God” to be heard and saved.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:11-13 King James Version (KJV)

And that name is JESUS. Jesus is translated from the latin IESUS, and the latin came from the greek IESOUS, and the greek came from the hebrew (Yhowshuwa/Jehoshuah/Joshua) which all mean (The Lord-saved). Whichever one you choose they all mean the same and refer to the same CHRIST (The anointed one). JESUS is the most popular accepted name around the world. It is not a mistake, deviation or lie as some think it to be.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21 King James Version (KJV)

It’s crystal clear. No need for a college degree or diploma of any sort. All you need is a little faith in believing the Word of God is true that JESUS IS LORD. Beware of those pesky gainsayers who contradict the Bible and who antagonize every little verse. The Bible calls out those phonies as antichrist. Whoever denies Jesus in anyway is an antichrist.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:22 King James Version (KJV)

Perhaps you’ve been watching the news lately, and you’ve noticed how so many people are dying off from old age, illness, accidents, wars, murders and suicide. Many don’t even have a chance to be born. They be aborted without ever getting a chance to see the light of day. We live in a world that is marred and corrupted by evil, misery and death. This is because the world we live in is under heavy Satanic influence. Satan doesn’t want anybody to discover the truth about Jesus. He’s even disguised himself as another Jesus to deceive many; Matt 7:15, Matt 24:24, 2 Cor 11:4, 2 Cor 11:14-15.  Ever wonder if there is a way out of this mess? What is the true secret and meaning to life? (Ecc 12:13-14) What happens after we die? (Heb 9:27) And how can we brake away from evil and sin and become truly good? (John 8:31-32) The answer and hope is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus came to expose Satan and all his lies, and to destroy all his works (1 John 3:8) that we can escape his grasp (2 Tim 2:26), be free in Christ and have eternal life.

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23 King James Version (KJV)

18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Acts 26:18 King James Version (KJV)

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

John 11:25-27 King James Version (KJV)

Who is Jesus? Old Testament

13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Galatians 3:10 King James Version (KJV)

Jesus was crucified on Passover, becoming the final sacrifice for the atonement of sin for the whole world. Listening to some critics who mock the Bible and God’s laws of the Old Testament because in the LAW whosoever breaks certain laws are worthy of death. In the LAW we have the knowledge of sin; Rom 3:20, Rom 7:7. Everyone in the world has inherited the consequence of death from the first sin; Rom 5:12. God’s law was set in place in the Old Testament to show us exactly where sin is and to show just how sinful we really are Rom 7:12-13. God’s law was set in place to keep sinners in line with God’s righteousness; 1 Tim 1:8-11.
(FYI: God’s moral laws are not to be confused with man’s laws). Man has left off to follow God’s laws which are perfect and in turn created countless new laws which are flawed needing constant updating over time, and are in many cases cruel and unjust; Isa 10:1, Matt 15:8-9). God’s moral laws, on the other hand, are righteous and just. They are also relevant and sharp every day because they are eternal; Matt 24:35. To break one of God’s laws is sin. Sinning causes problems. Sin has a consequence, sometimes immediate and sometimes down the road. It is because of sin that we live in a world of misery and death. Yet no man is justified in the eyes of God by keeping the law for all have broken it. So how then do we appear justified before God?

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 10:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
According to the word of God Adam and Eve were warned if they ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge they would die; Gen 3:3. Eve being tempted by Satan sinned and caused Adam to sin as well. After they were found out for committing the original sin God then took the life of an innocent animal to make for coats of skins to cover up their shame; Gen 3:21. Basically, Adam and Eve deserved to die but instead God took it out on something innocent. God then followed this same model in the Old Testament by using a lamb to be sacrificed for redemption; Exo 12:6-7 and atonement of sin; Lev 4:23.
Today one of the most joked about stories in the Bible is that of Abraham who was ordered by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac. They laugh about the seemingly crazy story of God asking Abraham to sacrifice his only son after he had waited so long for him. (Mockers laugh not realizing this same history lesson speaks straight to the Jews about JESUS) But God was testing Abraham’s faith and obedience while giving some foreshadowing of his own seemingly crazy love for us to sacrifice his only begotten Son Jesus on the cross; Gen 22:6-12. Abraham was blessed by God as the patriarch of the Hebrew seed for his faith. Later on, by way of Jesus, God gave himself a final sacrifice for the atonement of sin for Israel and the whole world; Heb 10:10, 1 John 4:10.

Ever since the time of Jesus the Jews have lost their great temple and ability to do the daily sacrifice. It’s been over 2000 years since Jesus, and the Jews have not been able to keep the Old Testament sacrifice to cleanse them of their sins. Even though the Jews boast in the Law they all break it; Acts 7:53. According to the word of God nobody is justified by the works of the law; Gal 2:16. This means nobody is able to keep a perfect record. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; Rom 3:23. In order to receive God’s grace and full benefits of the Holy Spirit a person must now believe on Jesus, that is to repent from sin and convert over to Jesus Christ via baptism; Acts 2:38 who is the mediator of the New Testament; Heb 9:13-15.
Only his perfect blood that he shed can cleanse us from all unrighteousness; Col 1:14, 1 John 1:9. Even though the Jews killed Jesus, (and many are trying to acquit the Jews of doing so) he had to die as the Lamb of God to fulfill Jewish prophesy. All the Jews need to do now is accept JESUS as their Lord and Savior. This means converting over to God the Father by way of God the Son,
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 10:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
and no longer living tied down to the works of the LAW or Judaism, but free in the Spirit of grace, by faith in JESUS which is the NEW TESTAMENT; Mark 14:22-24, Heb 8:13. In a nutshell, they need to convert from the Old Testament over to the New Testament in Jesus Christ. Sounds a lot easier said than done. Many of the Jews simply will not budge. I guess this is why in the Bible it mentions a great joy in heaven when one sinner repents. Luke 15:10.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Matthew 13:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

FYI: Rejecting the Holy Ghost is the unforgivable SIN; Mark 3:29, Acts 7:51-53. Jesus offered the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Jews for free, and many simply rejected it.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:11-13 King James Version (KJV)

Christ is the end of the LAW.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Romans 10:4 King James Version (KJV)

Since the Jews rejected Jesus, GRACE is now made available to the Gentiles (everyone else); Acts 13:46. All are invited to follow Christ in repentance; John 3:16, Luke 9:23, Rom 3:22-24, Eph 2:11-22.

In JESUS we are saved by GRACE through faith in him, and we have the LAW giver abiding in us and the LAW is written in our hearts; Jer 31:33.

God’s Law can be briefly summarized in the New Testament by two major rules based on LOVE. 1st) Love God with all your heart, mind and strength. 2nd) Love your neighbor as yourself; Matt 22:36-40, Romans 13:8-10, John 13:34-35.

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 3:22-27 King James Version (KJV)

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Who is Jesus? Old Testament

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 43:10 King James Version (KJV)

Here we read straight from God that the people of Israel are his witnesses and also referring to his servant, the coming of the Just One. God clearly says, “and understand that I am he;”. Also, that there is no other God besides him, as in no vice-god or co-god. That is to say a 2nd, slightly inferior god). This verse alone should be enough to silence the critics of Jesus Christ who deny his Deity that he is God himself in the flesh. As you can imagine, this is one huge claim and it is hard to believe for many but it is the truth, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that Jesus is the true God; (1 John 5:20). The Jews refuse to accept that Jesus is the Son of God. Others would much rather believe in someone or something else rather than to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Here are just a couple more verses from the Old Testament that mention the coming of the Just One to the people of Israel and that he is God himself. Isa 9:6, Ezek 34:11.

39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

-Jesus/John 5:39 King James Version (KJV)

More Old Testament Prophecy that points to Jesus.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 King James Version (KJV)

Isaiah 53 perfectly describes the affliction, suffering and death of Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for sin for the people of Israel. Yet the Jewish people who make their boast in the Old Testament completely reject Isaiah 53. It’s nothing more than a sheer refusal to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior for Israel, who’s mentioned and foretold all through out the Old Testament text.

16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Psalm 22:16-18 King James Version (KJV)

You can practically use the Old Testament to tell the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s impossible to stage the Roman soldiers subsequently casting lots for Jesus garments. Who knew? Who wants to have their hands and feet pierced???

Who is Jesus? New Testament / God the Creator in human form

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

John 14:9 King James Version (KJV)

Even his disciples had a hard time grasping who Jesus is. Here Jesus rebukes Philip for asking “show us the Father”. Here are several verses that clearly state that Jesus is God himself in the flesh: John 1:1, Rom 8:29, Rom 9:5, Col 1:15-18, 1 Tim 3:16.

Who is Jesus? New Testament / The Lamb of God

Jesus was later put to death. He was killed by the very same people he came to save; John 8:37, Acts 7:51-52. In their haste they killed Jesus on Passover. This fulfills the the Old Testament prophecy of the suffering servant who was slain as a lamb for the sins of the world; Exo 12:11, Isa 53, John 1:29. Jesus later resurrected from the dead after 3 days; Acts 10:38-43.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

John 20:28-29 King James Version (KJV)

Please note: There is no rebuke for calling Jesus “God” or for worshipping him found in the New Testament. See: Matt 14:33

Who is Jesus? New Testament / Equal with God

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:23 King James Version (KJV)

Here we clearly read “God with us”. No need for a college degree or a theologian or scholar to interpret this. A child can understand what this means. Yet today we see corrupt minded gainsayers challenging the Deity of Christ at every verse.

18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 5:18 King James Version (KJV)

Here we see the first challengers to the Deity of Christ were none other than who? Jewish scholars and religious leaders who understood quite well what the term Son-of-God meant. The title Son-of-God belongs to God himself. Therefore they rejected Jesus as a blasphemer for claiming this title. But even today some people still don’t get it. They think Son-of-God somehow means lesser than God. John 5:18 clearly reads “equal with God”. See: Phil 2:5-11. Was Jesus lesser than God while still on earth? (John 14:28) Yes, while his mission was completed on the cross, but later Jesus was fully glorified receiving 100% Power and Authority of God (Matt 28:18, Col 2:19). When Jesus says “the Father is greater than I”, It does not mean he is not God, as some will not put the two together (John 10:30). See below.

The error of the Jehovah’s witness.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
