A Psalm of King David after he had gone into Bathsheba

New to Christ?

Jesus commands the new believer to be baptized in his name. What is baptism?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4 King James Version (KJV)

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:15-16 King James Version (KJV)

No argument here, yet they argue this verse everyday. People are wasting time seeking thrills and standing in long lines to get things that are vain these days; Phil 3:18-20. What’s that called? iDolatry. But if one truly cares about going to heaven then you should make obeying Jesus your #1 priority. Churches today have deviated from Jesus commands and turned baptism into an option, or something you do later or put it off for some other time. Instead they have turned church into houses of entertainment and money collection centers. Many churches are even built without a baptismal pool. The Churches in Christ should be baptizing people at every opportunity. The church flyer should read “We provide FREE baptisms at every meeting” “Don’t waste any more time. Receive Christ today before it’s too late”! But they don’t. Take a look at all those fancy and expensive concerts and tours they do. Did you see 3000 people get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ? The original church did it without fancy lighting or stadiums. Where’s all that money going? Should it not go towards obeying Christ and saving people according to his will?

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 2:41 King James Version (KJV)

33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Acts 16:33 King James Version (KJV)

No need for a million dollar facility. All one needs is some faith in Jesus and a small body of water. Here are two perfect examples.

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 8:37-38 King James Version (KJV)

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 10:46-48 King James Version (KJV)

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Matthew 3:14-16 King James Version (KJV)

This image is from “Son of God” the movie.

I did not see it. I heard many of the scenes were altered and send off the wrong message. Leave it up to Hollywood to add their artistic liberties to the truth. But this scene looks to be accurate because it shows Jesus being immersed into the water which symbolizes the death and then the resurrection. Jesus didn’t have long hair either. This artistic liberty took root many years ago and it’s hard to imagine Jesus now with short hair. But Jesus was a law bidding Jew. Jewish men are not allowed long hair down to the shoulders; Ezek 44:20, 1 Cor 11:14. But Jesus demonstrated the baptism for us. The rebirth of a man by water and Spirit which is also the first thing he did when he began his 3 year ministry. Baptism is a command, the first step of obedience in faith. If you have faith, you will obey the Lord and get baptized.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

Amen, and that name is Jesus and no other.

From the Great commission. The great command and duty of the church is to teach this very thing, the gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature and not another partial, diluted or deviant gospel. Beware of another Jesus, another gospel, and another baptism. They are not all the same; 2 Cor 11:4.

Beware the false baptism of the Roman Catholic Church. The baptism of infants is not rational to the true baptism in Jesus Christ. A baby cannot think or decide for itself to follow Christ. Instead this is an induction into the Roman Catholic Church. Roman Catholicism and Christianity, if you look at them rationally are like an oxymoron. The two are not the same, they are opposed one to another. Observe with a rational mind how the Roman Catholic Church is contrary to the word of God.

Roman Catholicism is not Christianity!

Catholics are not Christian, and Christians are not Catholic although many are in bed together. Roman Catholicism is the religion of Babylon disguised as Christianity. Read all about it in the Bible:

Jer 7:18, Jer 44:16-22,

Matt 23:9, 2 Cor 6:14-18,

Revelation 2:22-23, Revelation 17:3-6,

Revelation 18:20-24.

More historical blunders by the Roman Catholic Church blamed on Christianity.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

Daniel 9:5 King James Version (KJV)

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Proverbs 28:13 King James Version (KJV)

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 1:8-10 King James Version (KJV)

One misleading website I read from says we don’t need to make a sinners prayer to be saved. We can clearly read from the men of God in the Bible that a humble and repented sinner will seek God and ask for his mercy and salvation, as in, “Lord! Save me from my sinfulness for I am lost without you”!

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:6-9 King James Version (KJV)

There’s no excuse for anyone who’s heard about Jesus and the Hebrew Bible, especially those in the churches. Some are now preaching against repentance calling it works salvation, not realizing that repentance is the initial change of mind. Or they make it not a priority, thinking God is more interested in elaborate worship services; Amos 5:21-24. Some preach belief only in Jesus to be saved or that repentance is from unbelief only, but make no mistake, it’s a complete 180° turn from sin. James chapter 2 cuts down the “belief only” cult; James 1:22, James 2:19-20, James 2:24, 2 Pet 3:9, Matt 7:21.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24 King James Version (KJV)

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Psalm 119:104 King James Version (KJV)

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 11:13 King James Version (KJV)

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

A repentance guide for the proud and ignorant. “But I’m a good person”, some might say? Or, “I’ve never hurt nobody”. “I’m really good you know”? “I’m exceptional”!  One mention of repentance in a crooked and perverse world and suddenly everyone is innocent! Well let’s take a look at what the word of God says about all people in general (just in case you are struggling to come to terms with who you really are)?

The mind of man is evil.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:5 King James Version (KJV)

The heart of man is evil.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:9 King James Version (KJV)

26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

Proverbs 28:26King James Version (KJV)

The tongue of man is evil.

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Psalm 116:11 King James Version (KJV)

As touching the law, all have broken it.

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:10-12 King James Version (KJV)

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Romans 3:19 King James Version (KJV)

Everyone in general is guilty of sin; Rom 3:23, but now, even within the churches sin is rampant. Feminism is the precursor to homosexuality, and feminism is in the church, and now so is homosexuality, also a direct result of turning away from God. Another corrupt philosophy that has snuck into the church came from postmodernist Abigail Van Buren who quotes “Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints”. While sinners can turn to Christ for spiritual healing the church is in fact made up of saints, see also; Eph 4:12, Eph 5:3). Saints are born again Christian and they make up the body of Christ, and Christ is the head of the church. Another word for the church is the Bride, (spotless and blameless). Jesus went out to call sinners to repentance; Matt 9:13, Acts 17:30. All sinners are invited to hear and receive the gospel of Christ and be converted over from evil to righteousness if they choose to do so in repentance. Repented sinners are welcome into the church of God and will receive the full benefits of grace; Luke 15:7, Luke 15:21-24, Ps 103:204. Un-repented sinners yet the unrightoeus, and corrupt minded people are not welcome in the church; Ps 101, Acts 20:28-31, Rom 16:16-18, 1 Cor 5:7-11, 1 Tim 6:3-4, Rev 2:14-16. They only serve to pervert the truth. Born-again Christians are “reborn” in the Spirit and walk in the truth; John 4:23-24, Rom 8:1, 1 John 1:6, 1 John 5:18-19. The kingdom of heaven is exclusive to the believer and not inclusive to the ungodly; 1 Pet 4:18. All must go in by Christ; John 10:1, John 10:9, John 14:6, Rev 22:14-15. Although a person can physically sneak into a church; Matt 13:31-32, or form a new one they cannot do so spiritually without Jesus approval; Matt 15:13, Matt 22:11-14, Rom 8:9, 2 Cor 13:5. Why do the wicked avoid the real Jesus? John 3:19-21, John 6:60-66. I’m sure you’ve heard them say, “We don’t want to push away or scare away people”. “We want to bring them all in and accept them just as they are”. “Who am I to judge”? Think this way??? Well take a look! There goes the Church! Matt 7:13-15.

What’s wrong with these pictures? 1) Ordaining females in the church is not lawful according to the Word of God (1 Cor 14:34) and is a consequence from allowing feminism in the church. 2) Homosexuality is an abomination according to the Word of God (Lev 18:22), and a psychological disorder according to (Science). Homosexuality is not an orientation but a disorientation from the natural God-given order of male and female uniting as one flesh to produce legitimate life in the bond of familyhood (Eph 5:31). Feminism and homosexuality are both Satanic mentalities contrary to the will of God; Rom 12:2.

11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

Psalm 81:11-13 King James Version (KJV)

Also see; Godlessness leads to spiritual wickedness; Romans 1:26-32

14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Jeremiah 23:14 King James Version (KJV)

Would Jesus marry homosexuals? The answer is no! (1 Cor 6:9-10, 2 Thess 2:11-12)

We now live in perilous times (2 Tim 3), and repentance should be preached everywhere, but it isn’t. The false shepherds of today are busy telling people that they don’t need to repent. But what is repentance exactly? Good question! The word of God explains to us in perfect detail what repent means so there should be no excuse.

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)

11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Ezekiel 33:11 King James Version (KJV)

Repentance is to turn away from evil.

“Love is love” they say, but what if you love evil instead of good?

Isa 5:20, Psalm 52:3, Psalm 11:5

14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Amos 5:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

The first thing Jesus said when he began his three year ministry was REPENT.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:17 King James Version (KJV)

Beware of false preachers who antagonize Jesus teachings and teach otherwise. Peter made no mistake up in Acts 2:38. He did well in summarizing the gospel into one simple verse. Jesus understands our sinful situation by referring to it as being sick and he being the doctor with the cure. He’s compassionate, and ready and willing to save us, but we must come to the realization that we are indeed suffering from evil and sinfulness in our lives.

It’s crystal clear and straight forward. No need for a college degree or an interpreter. Jesus is calling all sinners to repentance.

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Luke 24:46-47 King James Version (KJV)

Confessing and forsaking our sins and return to God.

18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

Psalm 38:18 King James Version (KJV)

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

Psalm 106:6 King James Version (KJV)

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalm 51:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
